To roll out the Safeguard iOS app, have each person install from the App Store link on safeguard.sh/download, sign in, and have an admin enable the 2.0.3 features you want. Then give people one job to do on the phone, such as reviewing findings with reachability evidence.
Day 1: install and sign in
Send the official link from the download page, not a search result. The listing shows developer Safeguard.sh Inc., free, about 72 MB. Devices need iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later. Everyone signs in with their Safeguard account. The app does not work without one.
Day 2: admin switches
The 2.0.3 notes list features that the workspace administrator must enable: widgets for Home Screen and Lock Screen, Live Activities, QR code device approval, a Safari extension and Siri support. Decide which to turn on and for whom. Fewer switches at the start makes support easier.
If you turn on the Safari extension, each person also toggles it in Settings. On iOS 18 or later it is under Apps, Safari, Extensions; before that, under Safari, Extensions.
Day 3: one routine
Pick a routine that suits a phone. The listing describes reviewing findings with reachability evidence, so a good first routine is a short review of new findings each morning. Reachability evidence is the part that tells you whether a vulnerability is actually exploitable in your code, according to the listing.
Day 4: follow the fixes
The listing says the app tracks remediation of fixes made by Griffin AI. Have one person open a finding with a fix in flight and follow it from the phone, then compare with the web app to check both show the same state.
Day 5: collect feedback
Ask each person three plain questions: what did you open, what did you want that was missing, and what was awkward on a small screen. Send those to Safeguard.
Housekeeping
- Keep the app on automatic updates. 2.0.3 fixed a launch crash on iOS 27.
- Treat a lost phone like any device with access to security data. Sign out and ask your admin about revoking the session. We did not find a documented remote revoke step on the pages we read, so confirm with Safeguard.
- Note the privacy label: the developer says no data is collected from the app, and Apple has not verified it.
What about shared iPads?
A shared device is a risk for any app that shows security data. The pages we read do not describe shared device handling, so use your own device policy, sign out after use and ask Safeguard what a signed out session retains on the device.
What to do
- Send the official link and requirements.
- Decide the admin switches.
- Set one morning routine.
- Review feedback on day five.
Quick check
Do all 2.0.3 features work for everyone automatically?
No. The notes say the workspace administrator must enable them.
Which iOS version do I need?
iOS 16.4 or later on iPhone, and iPadOS 16.4 or later on iPad, per the listing.
