Yes. The Safeguard download page lists an Android app on Google Play for phones and tablets, with the package ID safeguard.sh. A direct APK, version 1.0.2, is also offered for devices without Play. A Safeguard account is the natural prerequisite, but the pages we could read do not spell out Android features.
What does the download page say?
Under Mobile, the page says the Android app is available on Google Play for phones and tablets. It separately offers the APK, covered in the next post in this series. We could not retrieve the Play listing text itself when we checked, so we do not repeat feature claims for Android.
Which route should most people use?
Google Play, where you have it. Play handles updates for you. The APK is for phones without Play or for company distribution, and the page says its updates come from the Safeguard site, not Google Play. That is more work and more risk, so the store route is the default.
How do I find the right listing?
Follow the Android link from safeguard.sh/download. The Play link carries the package ID safeguard.sh. When the listing opens, check that the developer is Safeguard.sh Inc. and that the name and icon match what the site shows. Apps that copy a name are common in any store.
What can the Android app do?
The pages we could read do not say. The iOS listing describes a companion for posture, findings with reachability evidence and fix tracking, but we should not assume the Android app is identical. Look at the Play listing yourself, and ask Safeguard for a feature list if you plan to roll it out.
Tablets
The page says phones and tablets. It does not describe a tablet specific layout, so we do not either.
What should an admin ask Safeguard?
Before a team rollout, ask for the Android feature list, the minimum Android version, the permissions the app requests and how sign-in works on Android. The download page does not cover these, and a written answer is better than assuming the Android app matches the iOS one.
What to do
- Open the download page and tap the Google Play link.
- Confirm the developer and package ID.
- Install, open, and sign in with your Safeguard account.
- Read the data safety section on the listing before you roll out to a team.
- Turn on automatic updates in Play.
Quick check

The download page says the Google Play app is available for phones and tablets. It does not describe a tablet specific design.

No. The APK is offered for phones without Play or for company distribution.
