As of 18 October 2026, Cursor lists Pro as a legacy plan at $20 a month. It includes two monthly usage pools, one for Cursor models and one for third-party models at API prices. Cursor does not publish token counts or request counts for Pro, so any exact number you see elsewhere is not from the provider.
Where did these figures come from?
We fetched two Cursor pages on 18 October 2026: the main pricing page and the account documentation on legacy plans. Everything below is what those pages said that day. Prices exclude tax. Plans and limits change, so treat this as a dated snapshot and check the pages again before you buy.
We make no claims about what any plan costs Cursor or its model providers. That information is not published and we do not guess at it.
What does the legacy Pro plan include?
According to the legacy plans page:
- Price: $20 a month.
- A Cursor Models pool, which the page says covers Grok 4.7, Grok 4.6, Grok 4.5 and Composer 2.5.
- An Other Models pool for third-party models, drawn down at each model's API price.
- Both pools reset with your monthly billing cycle.
- On-demand usage is off by default. You can switch it on from the spending page of the dashboard and set a monthly limit. It is billed monthly in arrears.
The page says Pro+ and Ultra (legacy) include more of each pool than Pro. It gives no pool sizes. So the honest answer to "how many tokens do I get" is: Cursor does not say.
What do the current plans look like?
The pricing page today shows a different set of tiers, with no plan called Pro. Cursor's docs say the legacy plans keep working as they are.
- Free: $0, limited usage.
- Plus: $8, base pool.
- Premium: $30, 4x Plus.
- Super: $100, 15x Plus.
- Ultra: $200, 50x Plus.
Paid current plans use a single weekly pool shared across Cursor and Grok models, and it refreshes weekly. Third-party models on Premium and above are billed at API list price from prepaid credit. Annual billing is listed at $80 for Plus, $300 for Premium, $1,000 for Super and $2,000 for Ultra.
Note the two plans both named Ultra: the current one is $200 a month, and the legacy one is a separate plan whose price the page does not list.
What should a team do with this?
The practical lesson is that "per month" can mean a monthly pool, a weekly pool, or a credit balance, depending on which plan you are on. Budgeting by plan name alone does not work.
- Confirm which plan each developer is actually on. Legacy and current plans behave differently.
- Write down the reset cadence for that plan: monthly for legacy Pro, weekly for current paid tiers.
- Decide whether on-demand spend is allowed, and set a hard monthly limit if so.
- Track third-party model usage separately, since it draws from API-priced credit or its own pool.
- Re-fetch the pricing pages each quarter and date your notes.
- If security review is a requirement, check which model providers your plan routes to, and what your policy says about sending code to them. Safeguard IDE extensions for VS Code, Open VSX (which works in Cursor) and JetBrains show dependency and security insight as you code, which is independent of how you buy your editor.
Quick check
How many tokens does Cursor Pro include?
Cursor does not publish a token or request count for Pro. Its legacy plans page describes two pools and their reset timing, and says only that higher tiers include more.
Is Pro still on sale?
On 18 October 2026 the main pricing page did not list Pro. The docs call Pro a legacy plan that keeps working. Check the pages directly for what you can buy today.
