LAGOS, NIGERIA / DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA — July 28, 2026 — Safeguard.sh Inc., the Dublin, California–headquartered AI-native software supply chain security platform, today announced a partnership with OffShield Security, the Lagos-based offensive security firm and cybersecurity academy, to deliver Safeguard's Enterprise SSCM platform to Nigerian organisations. OffShield becomes Safeguard's channel and delivery partner for Nigeria — the company's first partnership in Nigeria and in West Africa. The agreement was signed on 28 July 2026.

Nigeria is the largest software market in Africa and the continent's fintech engine, and its regulatory floor has risen sharply: the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, the CBN Risk-Based Cybersecurity Framework for banks, other financial institutions and payment service providers, and NITDA's guidance now oblige Nigerian institutions to evidence — not assert — control over the software they ship. At the same time, AI coding agents author a growing majority of production code, turning the software supply chain into the single largest unmanaged attack surface in the world. 93% of organisations suffered at least one supply-chain attack in 2026, with cumulative damages of USD 80.6 billion — and a poisoned dependency does not care which market it lands in.

What the partnership delivers

Through OffShield, Nigerian enterprises get in-country access to the full Safeguard platform: SAST, DAST, SCA, continuous CycloneDX / SPDX SBOMs, VEX statements, 500K+ pre-vetted zero-CVE components, third-party risk management, MCP-server AI-agent governance, and — most critically — rapid zero-day discovery and self-healing remediation. Every detection, prioritisation and fix is authored by three purpose-built sovereign models trained exclusively on security data:

  • Griffin — discovery & auto-fix. Walks the dependency graph 100 layers deep, performs reachability and taint analysis, and autonomously authors fix PRs. Five variants from Griffin Lite (8B) to Griffin Zero (671B-MoE).
  • Eagle — threat reasoning. 13B model on EPSS, KEV, exploit databases and live attack telemetry. Cuts false positives ~80%, accelerates remediation from 45 days to 3.
  • Lion — governance & guardrails. 1B model that runs alongside every AI coding agent, enforcing capability scoping, egress allowlists, JIT secret brokering and signed audit trails.

To date the Safeguard engine has coordinated-disclosed 50+ zero-days, applied 100K+ autonomous remediations, and completed 1M+ scans.

OffShield brings the other half: an offensive security practice — penetration testing, red team operations, cloud and application security review, digital forensics and incident response — and a training arm that has put 300+ students through hands-on cybersecurity programmes. Safeguard findings will be validated by OffShield's testers on the ground, and Safeguard's platform curriculum will be taught alongside Safeguard Academy, so Nigerian engineers are certified on the platform defending their code.

Notes from the founders

"Nigerian engineers are shipping software to the world, and shipping it fast — fintech, health, logistics, public infrastructure. What we see on every engagement is that the vulnerability is rarely in the code our clients wrote; it is in the code they inherited, and increasingly in the code an AI agent wrote for them at 2am. Nobody in this market has had an answer to that at platform scale. Partnering with Safeguard gives us one — and it lets us pair it with what OffShield already does best: proving the risk is real, and training the people who have to fix it. This is the capability I have wanted to put in Nigerian hands since the day I started OffShield."

Gabriel Odusanya, Founder & CEO, OffShield Security

"This is our first partnership in Nigeria, and we did not go looking for a logo — we went looking for operators. Gabriel and the OffShield team break software for a living and then teach other people how it broke, which is exactly the pairing the supply chain needs: detection that is autonomous, and validation that is adversarial. Griffin, Eagle and Lion do not care whether a codebase sits in Lagos or Palo Alto — a transitive dependency is a transitive dependency. What changes outcomes is having a partner in-region who can walk into the room. OffShield is that partner for Nigeria."

Hritik Kumar Sharma, Founder & CEO, Safeguard.sh Inc.
