What it is
It is the same Safeguard, with the same account and the same data, on a very large canvas. You do not get a different product. You get more room for the views that suffer on a laptop screen.
The honest framing: a headset will not replace your desk for most work. It is useful for specific sessions where being able to see a lot at once matters.
How to use it
- Sign in with your Safeguard account on the headset.
- Open a project or product and ask Griffin the question you would ask on the web app.
- Keep the answer in view while you ask the next one.
Because Safeguard is chat-first, the main interaction is a question and an answer. A wide space lets you keep several answers open side by side instead of scrolling back.
Where it helps
- A review with several people who all want to look at the same material. Walking through an incident timeline together is easier when it surrounds you.
- Comparing two products or two projects next to each other.
- A presentation to executives who want to see the supply chain picture rather than read about it.
Where it does not
- Fixing code. Use your IDE or the Safeguard CLI.
- Quick triage on the go. Use your phone.
- Anything you do dozens of times a day. Friction adds up.
Try it yourself
You do not need a headset to test the idea. Take one dependency question from this week, such as which of your projects use a given package, and try to answer it with two windows side by side instead of one. If you keep wishing for a third window, a larger canvas will help you.
