CVE-2026-48324 is a critical SQL injection flaw (CVSS 9.1) in Adobe ColdFusion. An attacker with high privileges could use it to execute arbitrary code as the current user, with no user interaction needed. Adobe's bulletin APSB26-82 names the fixed updates, so apply the one for your release line.

What's affected

Adobe ColdFusion. The record names the product but not version numbers, and the Adobe bulletin page did not load for our review, so read APSB26-82 for the exact affected versions and the update that fixes each release line.

The vector needs high privileges and a network path, with low attack complexity and a changed scope.

How to check if you're exposed

Open the ColdFusion Administrator and look at the Server Update section to see the update level you run, then compare it with the fixed update named in Adobe bulletin APSB26-82. Also confirm which network can reach the Administrator and other internal ports.

Then look at which accounts can reach ColdFusion's administrative functions, since the attacker needs a privileged position first.

What to do now

  1. Read APSB26-82 and note the fixed update for each ColdFusion release line.
  2. Apply the update on all servers and confirm the new update level.
  3. Audit privileged ColdFusion accounts and database accounts, and remove any that are unused.
  4. Make sure the database account ColdFusion uses has only the rights the application needs.

Why it matters

The class is CWE-89, SQL injection: input is placed into a database query in a way that lets it change the query itself. Normally that means reading or changing data. The advisory goes further and says the outcome here can be code execution in the context of the current user.

Least privilege limits the damage. A database account that can only do what the application needs, and a service account with narrow file rights, shrink what a successful attack can reach. The record does not mark this CVE as exploited, and it is not on the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities list.

There is no package manifest to scan for this one, so inventory comes first. List every host, instance or device running an affected build. The Gold directory page for CVE-2026-48324 is a handy place to follow later updates.

Quick check

Is SQL injection here the same as a web form attack?

The record only says a high privilege attacker can reach it. Read the Adobe bulletin for the exact component and conditions.
