You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to delete or correct it, or opt out of marketing and of any sale or sharing of your personal information. This page is for people whose data we hold for our own purposes, such as website visitors, people who contacted us, and contacts at companies we work with.

If your data is in a Safeguard customer's account (for example you are a user in your employer's workspace), that company controls it. Ask them first; we will help them answer you.

How it works

Fill in the form with the email address the request is about.
We email that address a link. Opening it confirms the request is yours; nothing happens until you do.
We search the systems where we could hold your data and tell you what we found and what we did.
Before we delete anything, a member of staff reviews and approves it.

What we may have to keep

Invoices, bills and other accounting records, for the period tax and company law require.
Signed contracts and their signature records.
A record that you opted out or asked us not to contact you, so we can honour it.
Security audit logs, for their fixed retention period.
Anything we must preserve for a legal claim or an investigation.

How long it takes

We answer within the time your law allows, counted from when you confirm the request: one month under the GDPR and UK GDPR (we may extend by up to two more months for complex requests and will tell you why), 45 days under the CCPA (15 business days for opting out of sale or sharing), and within the period set by India's Digital Personal Data Protection rules.

If you are not happy with our answer

Contact us at the address below. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority, for example your EU or UK supervisory authority, the Data Protection Board of India, or the California Privacy Protection Agency.
